What do you mean by homologated pressfitting system?
Homologated pressfiting is the permanent junction between pipes and fittings through an assembly process that is certain, defined and verified by a product certification Body.
What types of installations may be made with pressfitting systems? Who authorizes industrial uses?
The pressfitting is a unique system to make various installations within the same sector, either civil or industrial. It was created for typical applications, such as hot and cold water (heating, drinking water, cooling, etc.).
What are the advantages of pressfitting systems vis à vis the traditional junction systems (threaded, brazed, welded, etc.)?
Compared with the traditional junction systems, the pressfitting systems are installed more rapidly, thereby saving considerable assembly time: they are simpler and more convenient, requiring only compliance with the correct installation techniques, while ensuring proper seal.
What are the materials available for pressfitting systems? Which diameters are available?
The pressfitting systems manufactured in Italy
What are the dimensional characteristics of the O-Rings assembled on pressfitting joints?
All joints have an O-Ring assembled, with the typical profile, a patented lens-shaped section. The special O-Ring sold individually also have the same profile.
Which O-Rings are currently available?
The O-Rings currently available
Can EPDM O-Rings be used for compressed-air installations?
In the compressed air system, some oil traces are always present.
What operating conditions can be reached with the EPDM O-Ring?
PN16 with temperature from –20° to +120°C (normal conditions) with temporary peaks up to 140°C.
Which O-Rings are required for solar installations?
FKM (fluorocarbon rubber) O-Rings have suitable characteristics for solar panel installations.
What type of stapling machines and jaws can be used to staple the pressfitting systems?
The pressfitting systems were homologated with KLAUKE and NOVOPRESS stapling machines.
What is the difference between raw and annealed pipe?
The difference between a raw and an annealed pipe consists in a stress relieving treatment, which confers greater malleability to the basic material. Annealed pipes are more bendable than raw pipes.
What is the Oversize?
The Oversize is a new pressfitting range, made of AISI 316L stainless steel available in 139 and 168mm diameters. The Oversize range can be pressed with the dedicated machine Novopress ACO401//403 and dedicated chains, specifically manufactured for special, high-pressure applications up to the size 168,3 mm.
