Compressed air means atmospheric air reduced in volume through a reciprocating compressor or pump, placed under pressure in a tank.

Raccorderie Metalliche designed its Pressfitting products for compressed air and inert gas plants in 4 different materials and a dedicated range, as to provide for the best solution to any installer and designer requirement. Raccorderie Metalliche and compressed air plants

inoxPRES, inoxPRES UNIKO, inoxPRES 304L and inoxPRES UNIKO 304L

They represent the fusion of stainless steel quality with the benefits of the Pressfitting system.

Raccorderie Metalliche developed its own bonded CrNiMo 1.4404 (AISI 316L) steel products, Ø 15 to Ø 168 mm. The choice of the inoxPRES range is recommended especially when the air quality is an important requirement for equipment connected to the network. In such cases we recommend the use of stainless steel pipes AISI 316 l (1.4404) or AISI 304 (1.4301).

As to supply designers and installers the best possible solution, inoxPRES fittings can be used with 2 different ranges of stainless steel pipes:

complete range in 1.4404 (AISI 316L) steel, available Ø 15 to Ø 168 mm
complete range in 1.4301 (AISI 304) steel, available Ø 15 to Ø 108 mm
complete range in 1.4301 (AISI 304) steel, reduced thickness, available Ø 15 to Ø 108 mm
complete range in 1.4521 (AISI 444) steel, available Ø 15 to Ø 54 mm

The pipes are longitudinally welded, bordered and calibrated. Stainless steel high resistance to corrosion makes inoxPres system by Raccorderie Metalliche the most suitable solution for thermal solar plants and circuits. At the civil and industrial level as well where processes and processing can lead to aggressive and corrosive environments, such a material turns out to be the most suitable solution. Such a material is even more suitable for processing or processes carried out in aggressive and corrosive environments and where the air quality is important and is to be guaranteed.
All inoxPRES joints are pre-fitted EPDM O-Ring, compatible with any plants, Class 1 to Class 4 (ISO 8573-1/2001) and approved PN16. As for plants with oil residues Class 5, Raccorderie Metalliche developed a new range named “Silicon Free” with green O-Ring in FKM.

The press systems are indicated only for industrial applications while medical purposes are excluded. The choice and the implementation of the piping type or system, depending on the type of application is responsibility of the planner/installer. Raccorderie Metalliche has developed additional stainless steel ranges suitable for compressed air applications: inoxPRES UNIKO (UNIKO profile – AISI 316L), inoxPRES 304L (M profile – AISI 304L), inoxPRES UNIKO 304L (UNIKO profile – AISI 304L)

steelPRES

It is the range of unbonded steel Pressfitting pipes and fittings available from Ø 12 to Ø 108 mm.

Fittings are made in E195 (n. 1.0034) and galvanised. According to the type of plant, the fittings can be fitted to two different types of pipes: externally galvanised in E220 (n. 1.0215) or internally and externally galvanised in E190 (n.10031). The pipes are longitudinally welded, bordered and calibrated. All steelPRES fittings are pre-fitted with EPDM O-Rings compatible with any plants, Class 1 to Class 4 (ISO 8573-1/2001) and approved PN16. As for plants with oil residues Class 5, Raccorderie Metalliche developed a green O-Ring in FKM replacing the standard O-Ring.

aesPRES and aesPRES UNIKO

In the range DHP 99.9 (CW024A), bronze CuSn5Zn5Pb2 (CC449K), and brass CuZn21Si3P (CW724R), are the pressing fitting series from Ø15 to Ø54mm by Raccorderie Metalliche.

Copper is a noble material, renowned for its high corrosion resistance and long durability. The system is also suitable for any installation that does not have drying devices. All fittings in these ranges are fitted with an EPDM O-Ring during production, compatible with all systems from Class 1 to Class 4 (ISO 8573-1/2001) and are PN16 approved. For systems with Class 5 oil residues, Raccorderie Metalliche has developed a green O-Ring made of FKM compound to replace the standard one.

The range of pressfitting pipes and joints, Ø15 to Ø108 mm by Raccorderie Metalliche in copper/nickel 90/10 CuNi10Fe1.6Mn alloy.

The marinePRES alloy is the best solution when the material intrinsic corrosion-proof features are required to assemble the plant. The use of marinePRES by Raccorderie Metalliche is suitable in general for applications in saline and corrosive media, as in time it proved to be extremely reliable. The system is suitable for plants with no drier. All marinePRES fittings are fitted with a green O-Ring in FKM, compatible with Class 1 and 5 plants (ISO 8573-1/2001) and PN16 approved.
